  • IMVU XBar saw the removal of Gifts button-menu, the relocation of the Credit Resellers menu to the Credits submenu in the Shop menu, and the addition of the RKAI13 button--which points to my IMVU Homepage.
  • IMVU's Blog page link was added to the IMVU menu.
  • Credits submenu, Music Wishlisht, View Derivation Tree, View Derived Products, and Premium Name Sale added to the Shop button-menu.
  • Neighborhoods submenu was added to the People button-menu.
  • Seven additional forums were added the Forums button-menu.
  • A Tools submenu was added to the Developer button-menu.
  • CEC tutorial themes were added to the CEC button-menu.
  • Free Spin button changed to a button-menu and had IMVU TV Credits and Earn Real IMVU Credits added to it.
  • IMVU XBar had the toolbarspacer removed to eliminate excess empty space so that the entire tool bar could be visible on a netbook with 1024px width.
  • JavaScript for the view My Latest Outfits was modified so that the user could be on any page, click the item, and be directed to the user's My Latest Outfits page.
  • Additional JavaScript was added so that the new features--View Derivation Tree, View Derived Products, Derive from Product, and Edit Product Settings Page--could be used from the tool bar.
  • The Developer button itself now points to the Developer Reports since the Developer Reports was taken out from its menu.

Version 2.1 Update
  • The IMVU button no longer points to "www.imvu.com". It now points to the user's homepage. You need to be logged on to access your homepage; otherwise, IMVU sends you back to "www.imvu.com".
  • The Homepage option was removed since the IMVU button now points to the user's homepage.
  • Inbox, My IMVU, Updates, Music, Manage Badges, and IMVU Help Center have been added to the IMVU button-menu-list with their corresponding links.

Version 2.0 Update
  • XUL and Javascript coding rebuilt and cleaned up.
  • Issues with using All Languages and My Latest Outfits in 1.5 have been corrected. Note: To use My Latest Outfits, you must be logged into your IMVU account and have visited at least one page, since the data to access your My Latest Outfits is taken from your Avatar Name.
  • Toolbar layout redesigned for easier use: added separators and spacers; Credit Resellers menu now has a underline instead of an arrow on the side; and Free Spin and Peer Review buttons are now grouped within separators.

Version 1.5 Update
  • Music Store was added to the Shop sub-menu, allowing users to be directed towards IMVU's new Music Store.
  • Economy and Pricing was removed from the Forums sub-menu. IMVU has removed this forum from its list of available forums.

Version 1.4 Update
  • All Languages was added to the People sub-menu located on the tool bar. All Languages allows IMVU users to read Group posts that are written in languages other than English that are coded using the Unicode Reference Number, for example: Japanese, Chinese, etc.. When using an IME, IMVU saves each character as a Unicode Reference Number (ブ). However, in the process of saving the Unicode Reference Number, IMVU converts the & to &. Thus, the browser is unable to interpret the Unicode Reference Number into its corresponding character. (In the source code, you see: ブ) To deal with this problem, All Languages strips the amp; portion of & so that & is all that is left. The broswer, then, can interpret the Unicode Reference Number and display the corresponding character on the webpage.
  • My Latest Outfits was added to the Outfits sub-menu. My Latest Outfits is similar to Latest Outfits, but displays your Latest Outfits instead of everyone elses. There is one issue with this feature. The Outfits page needs to load first before you can see your outfits. This means that you will have to click My Latest Outfits twice, the the first time, to view them or when you clear the browser's cache. Once you have done this once, you may click on the My Latest Outfits link and be taken directly to your Latest Outfits.
  • Send Message was added to the IMVU sub-menu so that IMVU users could quickly arrive at the Send Message webpage to send a message to an individual on their buddy list. The only draw back to this function is that you are unable to Gift the receiver with an item from their Wishlist. You can Gift them an item from Your Wishlist or Gift List.
  • Common Questions and Solutions, Graphic Arts Services and Requests, and IMVU Catalog and Products links were added to the Forums sub-menu.

Version 1.3 Update
  • imvu-reseller.com was removed from the Credit Resellers sub-menu, by request of an IMVU Moderator, because imvu-reseller.com is "a fraudulent site known to imvu" and it is on IMVU's "fraudulent reseller list".
  • Ashantaey IMVU, assemblage24, d3viant-d3signs.com, EvilCredits.com, regnarts.imvu.credits, and XKZ Credits were added to the Credit Resellers sub-menu. These credit resellers were taken off the official credit resellers' list in the Economy and and Pricing forum on IMVU.
